Posted in ABM News on 03/04/2010 10:32 pm by Danny NicholsonCrouch Vale Brewery is a small, independent company committed to the brewing and supply of the finest cask conditioned ales situated close to the River Crouch in the county of Essex.
Crouch Vale’s beers have won many awards in the short history of the brewery, including the ultimate cask ale accolade – CAMRA’s “Supreme Champion Beer of Britain”, gained by ‘Brewers Gold’ in both 2005 and 2006.
Their beers are brewed only from the finest traditional ingredients such as East Anglian ‘Maris Otter’ & ‘Pearl’ barley malts. The finest Kent and Worcestershire hops (as well as any new and interesting German and American varieties) are utilised in a time honoured production process, which produces beers of incomparable quality!

We are happy to announce that we are now stocking the following beers from their excellent range:
Essex Boys Bitter (4%) – This chestnut coloured ale is a riot of traditional English malt and hops. It is a classic best bitter with full, satisfying body and glorious lasting hop bitterness. A firm favourite with Essex folk from the River Stour to the Thames, this beer will satisy any drinker, anywhere.
FPA (5.9%) – Occasionally-brewed extra-strong pale beer. Luscious rounded malt complemented by subtle, aromatic hops. Extremely drinkable.
Willie Warmer (6.4%) – Infamous, strong dark ale with a fulsome flavour and roasted barley notes. Excellent hop presence. Named in honour of the ancient local landowner William de Ferrers.
Amarillo (5%) – Amarillo has fast become a bit of a cult favourite amongst those who love their beer. The late addition hop used is of the “Amarillo” variety grown on the west coast of the United States. A superb premium golden ale with wonderful aroma and a lasting spicy flavour.
Brewers Gold (4%) – Supreme Champion Beer of Britain at the Great British Beer Festival 2005 AND 2006. Brewers Gold is a pale, refreshing and hoppy beer with gorgeous aromas of tropical fruits, bitter-sweet mouthfeel and a lasting hop presence. It was first brewed in the Summer of 2000 as a seasonal beer but made permanently available after unprecedented customer demand.
We are also selling a mixed case of all 5 of these beers as well as a special gift pack with a branded glass. FPA and Willie Warmer are limited edition beers, and so are only available the mixed case and gift packs.
