Q How long will delivery take?
A Fresh Food Orders

Because all the sausages are made fresh by the wonderful Giggly Pig Co. we need to fit in around their production schedule. We will always try and accommodate orders on a next day basis for the popular sausages we keep in stock but be aware that with over 65 different varieties if you want something a little out of the ordinary it will need to be made fresh - which is what we think customers want. In these cases you can expect deliver shortly after they are produced.

Our orders are dispatched on Wednesday each week. If you order after close of business (17.30) on Monday your order will be shipped on Wednesday of the following week.

With every order you will receive an e-mail when the package is sent. All our fresh produce is shipped to arrive within 48hrs of dispatch.

HDN will attempt to deliver the parcel three times and will leave a card each time. You can contact them by phone to arrange redelivery or collection.

Once dispatched, you can check progress online or call Ales By Mail for more information.

We can arrange for your parcel to be left in a secure place. If HDN do not consider the location to be secure, they have instructions not to leave the delivery. We want your order to arrive in mint condition and won't risk it going missing.

A Beer Cases

Beer cases will be shipped as Next Day delivery.

Q How much does shipping cost?
A We use Fedex to deliver all our parcels in the UK. The cost of shipping to most parts of the UK is £6.99 for one box of up to 40kg. The cost of shipping will remain the same provided you are below 40kg in weight and your order can be safely packaged in one box. This means you could order 2 cases of beer, sausages & bacon, and have them all delivered for just £6.99. Beer cases will be sent via next-day delivery.

Q How do you ensure my order is fresh?
A We care about every order. From the moment it leaves us to the moment it arrives at your door we will ensure that all our products are securely packed in insulated sleeves with ice packs. The boxes are lined to prevent any moisture escaping. Each pack of 6 sausages comes overwrapped in a polystrene tray. The bacon is shrink wrapped for extra freshness.

In the unlikely event that our products don't reach you in good condition, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange a new delivery or a refund.

Q Can I freeze the sausages / bacon?
A The packaging for shipping and storage means that if you decide to freeze our products their flavour and quality should not be affected whether cooked from fresh or frozen.

Q How many sausages does each pack contain?
A Each sausage pack contains between 4 and 6 sausages, and will weigh 350g to 400g on average.

Q Is my order secure?
A You can tell your data is encrypted when you see the locked padlock at the bottom of your brower. We use secure online payments provided by RBS Worldpay, a major global leader in payment processing. When you have finished shopping and go to pay your credit card details are entered onto their secure site - we don't store the card information or, in fact, ever receive it at Ales By Mail.

Q Are all items available today?
A If a product sells out our system will remove it from the store until we get more stock. If, for reasons beyond our control, we find ourselves out of a particular item we will contact you and offer a replacement or a refund.
